MEDICAL IMAGING CENTRE
The Radiology Department offers services 24/7 to our inpatients under the observation of our experienced physicians and medical assistants, to outpatients, and to the patients referred to our hospital.
Digital Radiography is used in all radiological examinations conducted by conventional and portable devices.
COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY (CT)
CT has the ability to scan organs with high diagnostic accuracy. It also allows us to examine dynamic structures such as heart and coronary arteries without performing conventional angiography and, to identify coronary heart disease risk and atherosclerosis. The CT scanner can accommodate patients up to 227 kg.
MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI)
High-resolution magnetic resonance imaging, which is used for the diagnosis of diseases, is used to perform angiographic, spectroscopic, functional, and perfusion-diffusion imaging on all organs, particularly on the brain and the heart.
MULTIX FUSION MAX - MULTIX SELECT DR - DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY
Radiography is an imaging technique using X-rays for imaging all parts of the body, and it is considered the first and main step of the examination. Under optimal conditions, our new generation digital device provides maximum image quality with minimal radiation exposure. The wireless-compatible device has two detectors.
DIGITAL SUBTRACTION ANGIOGRAPHY (DSA)
It is used to visualise blood vessels in the brain, liver, heart, aorta, and extremities by giving reduced levels of X-ray and contrast agent doses. By means of digital subtraction, bone structures in the background are suppressed and the details of very thin vessels are made visible. The 3-D images obtained by rotational angiography help surgeons and interventional radiologists to diagnose diseases and plan their treatment accordingly. It has the ability to check if the stent is expanded properly. The C-arm x-ray machine can move with the bed.
The C-arm X-ray machine is used in operations and in all kinds of endoscopic procedures related to orthopaedics, traumatology, general surgery, urology, and partial memory systems. It functions as an X-ray machine that provides real-time (instant) imaging. Thus, it allows reduction of the operation time.
It is a screening technique for the early diagnosis of breast cancer and is used in the treatment of breast cancer and planning of breast-conserving surgery. It allows up to 30% dose reduction without compromising the image quality. It also has the tomosynthesis feature.
ULTRASONOGRAPHY - DOPPLER ULTRASONOGRAPHY
Ultrasonography (USG) is a technique for imaging internal organs and other structures in the body by using high-frequency sound waves. It is used to examine abdominal organs, gynaecological diseases (gynaecological USG), pregnancy, the functions and structure of the heart (echocardiography), breast tissues, blood vessels, and organs such as thyroid, testicles, and eyes. It also enables us to get 4D real-time images of the foetus during pregnancy. The latest technology ultrasonography devices X700, P500, NX3, and Juniper are used in our hospital.
